Handover of a New Dissection Table at the Institute of Anatomy, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University
On 13 November 2025, a ceremonial handover and commissioning of a new stainless-steel dissection table manufactured by PROMA REHA took place at the Institute of Anatomy, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague. This modern table offers height adjustment, lateral tilt, and a full stainless-steel construction, significantly improving the ergonomics of anatomical teaching and laboratory work.
The lateral tilt function allows students and professionals to position the body optimally, helping them avoid bending over during procedures and protecting their backs during long sessions. It also ensures better access to anatomical structures that were previously difficult to reach.
Until now, the Institute used even more than 100-year-old marble tables without any adjustment options. The new table therefore represents a major technological step forward, placing the Institute among the most modern anatomical workplaces in Europe.
The value of the donation is 499,000 CZK. The idea for the gift originated earlier this year during the Orthopaedic Congress in Prague, where representatives of PROMA REHA and the Institute agreed that this equipment would significantly enhance the teaching environment for future physicians.
We are proud to support medical education and contribute to the continuous development of modern anatomical training.
